KASHMIR TRIP - 08 NIGHTS -09 DAYS

DELHI/ SRINAGAR/PAHALGAM/GULMARG/SRINAGAR/ DELHI-TOUR

Day 1: DELHI/ SRINAGAR Flight Transfer from hotel to Airport. Arrival srinagar. Transfer to Deluxe House Boat.
Day 2: SRINAGAR After breakfast depart for a half day tour of Mughal Gardens visiting Chashma Shahi which is the smallest. Of the Mughal gardens at srinagar. The Chashma Shahi are well up the hill side, above the Chashma Shahi which offers a fine view Pari Mahal, just above the Chashma Shahi which offers a fine view over Dal Lake. Also visit Nishat bagh, the largest of the Mughal gardens sandwiched between the lake and the mountains. The Nishat gardens have a superb view across the lake to the Pir Panhal Mountains. Also visit Shalimar bagh set some distance back form the lake but reached by a small canal. Return back to the Boat for lunch. Late in the afternoon proceed for a 2 hour boat ride on Dal Lake. Dal Lake is actually three lakes, separated by dykes or floating gardens and at times it is hard to tell where the lake ends and land begins. Return and overnight at the house Boat.
Day 3: SRINAGAR After break fast depart for Shankaracharya hill rising up behind the Boulevard beside Dal Lake. This hill was once known as Takht- I - Sulaiman, the Throne of Solomon. A Temples is said to have first been built here by Ashka’s son around 200 BC, but the present Hindu temple dates from Jehangir’s time. It is a pleasant stroll to the top, from where you have a fine view over Dal Lake. Return back to the House boat. Rest of the day is free for personal activities. Overnight at the House Boat.
Day 4: SRINAGAR/ PAHALGAM Depart at 0930 hours by surface for Pahalgam which is at a distance of 96 km. From Srinagar. Arrive in Pahalgam and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for personal activities. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 5: PAHALGAM Day free for personal activities. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 6: PAHALGAM/ GULMARG Pahalgam/ Gulmarg Depart at 0930 hours by surface for Gulmarg. Arrive in Gulmarg and transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day is free for personal Activities. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 7: GULMARG Day free for personal activities. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 8: PAHALGAM / GULMARG Depart at 0930 hours by surface to Srinagar which is at a distance of 51 km, from Gulmarg. Arrive in Srinagar and transfer to the House boat. Rest of the day free for personal activities. Overnight at the House boat.
Day 9: SRINAGAR Transfer to Airport for your flight to Delhi.
SRINAGAR: Located in the Heart of the Kashmir Valley, Srinagar is a tourist is a tourist center and also the take off point for excursion to other places of interest. The city is believed to have been founded by a Mughal Emperor, for whom Kashmir was a summer resort. Srinagar offers a new and exciting type of accommodation, the house boat of which there are plenty on the Dal and Nagin Lakes, Gondola like boats, Shikaras adonis to the romantic ambirnce. It is also a starting point for several well known treks and excursions.
HOUSE BOAT: There is no greater escape from the noise and hassle of Srinagar, a typically noisy Asian city, than the superbly relaxing houseboats. Basically most houseboat are the same. There is a small verandah at one end where you can sit and watch the world the world pass by, and behind is a living room, usually furnished in the British 30,s Style. Then there is a dining room and beyond that tow or three bedroom that tow or three bedrooms, each with a bath room.
GULMARG: Gulmarg the meadow of flowers’ has the highest green golf course in the world and is a convenient base for treks to the Himalayas. There is excellent view of peak, Nanga Parbhat. It is also famous for winter sports.
PAHALGAM: Pahalgam, through which flow the Lidder and Sheshnag streams, it is also known as the take off point for treks to the Kolahoi Glacier, to several high altitude lakes, to the Amarnath Cave and to Sonmarg, the meadow of gold.
